Meet the Facilitator
Gary Sheader is the Founder and Managing Director of The Manufacturers’ Alliance and facilitator of the West Manchester Peer Group. He started the Alliance to create a space where manufacturing leaders can share experiences, challenge each other, and grow personally and professionally.
With nearly 20 years supporting manufacturers of all sizes, Gary is passionate about helping people reach their potential and drive meaningful change in their businesses. His hands-on, open, and energetic approach focuses on self-awareness, continuous learning, and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.
Gary has worked across the UK with companies ranging from £1 million start-ups to £1 billion global manufacturers, helping strengthen leadership teams, improve collaboration, and build people-focused cultures. He’s also a strong advocate for diversity, sustainability, and progressive leadership, serving on the Women in Manufacturing UK Industry Advisory Board.
Outside work, Gary enjoys running, cooking, music, poetry, and family time. As facilitator of the West Manchester Peer Group, he brings warmth, curiosity, and a genuine belief in people’s potential, creating a space where leaders can connect, grow, and inspire each other.
